Document and File Management

Functional Summary
Document management, or more generally file management, means using an information system to catalog and store documents. Waypoint enables you to catalog and manage all internal documents in their native file formats. Scan all client source documents and convert them into PDF formats. Bar code hardcopy-only documents and other knowledge resources and add them to the catalog too. Store files for Assets, Customers, Employees, Vendors, Events, Projects and a general-purpose knowledge base. With the knowledge base you can track technologies, governmental regulations, marketing collateral, etc. Our document management system insures both security compliance and access auditing. All standard document management functionalities are supported.

Case Studies
A regional law firm provides estate planning documents for hundreds of clients each month. Typically, more than one lawyer and paralegal touch each document. Clients often provide source documents. With our system users can scan all incoming source documents and automatically convert them into the PDF format easily readable from any workstation with the free viewer provided by Adobe. Every document, both icoming and outgoing, is cataloged and searchable. Remote attorneys can access any file. Remote paralegals can add new documents so that downstream attorneys can access them for review.
