Engineering Standards

Waypoint is a three tier application built on Microsoft SQL Server. It contains 20 dll's in addition to the external components with which it works. All 117 tables are exposed so that clients can access the data from third party applications like Crystal Reports and MS Access. Waypoint can be made to work from remote locations depending on your security and firewalls.

We follow a host of design conventions in our tables, stored procedures, dll classes and modules, exe modules, exe general methods and control and form events. If you are a developer then you know what we just said.

We were lucky to get a quality assurance manager from a large corporation to set up our QA department. He layed out our policies, procedures and constructed test matrices and provided us with a management summary system. He would still be with us if President Bush didn't need him on a US Navy project at San Diego's SPAWAR.

We've developed formal documentation on coding standards, testing procedures, system configuration, security policies, error handling, application navigation, use of form and control events, and, what is most important, our button down process.

Our sales and deployment process follows mature project management policies. We want observable milestones, clear requirements and a documented change log.

We preserve confidentiality.
